This week course is held at one of our training locations in the wilderness of North Karelia, Finland and is the result of a collaboration between Bushpappa Bushcraft & Survival and Karu Survival from Finland.
North Karelia is known for its beautiful forests, clean air, clear lakes and the silence that contribute to a real nature experience. In addition to the beauty of this nature, we have a good chance of encountering the black bear, moose, lynx or beaver, or at least the traces of these animals, during our walks.
The aim of this course is to extend your existing Bushcraft and Wilderness Skills. In addition, we teach you to understand nature and your environment better and to deal with it in a sustainable way. We use old, but still useful, Bushcraft skills, which will help you with the daily work in and around our camp during this week.
Using the axe will come back every day this week and we will make sure the axe becomes your best friend. The focus is on the use, maintenance and care of the axe. You will soon notice that you will grab your axe faster than your knife or saw. The safety aspect of using an axe will prevail.
Furthermore, we will make group shelters from natural materials and we will also sleep in them.
The content of this course has been designed in such a way that there is enough time for you to learn the skills and actually apply them in practice.
