Casstrom No. 10 Swedish Forest Knife Green Micarta with firesteel

This great new knife is made as a multi-purpose knife for hunting, bushcraft and general use in the outdoors.

The blade is made from Uddeholm Sleipner steel: This steel has the same good qualities as the old reliable Böhler K720, but with 8% Chromium so it has more resistance to staining / rusting.

Uddeholm Sleipner tool steel with a high carbon content to make the knife durable for hard-handed use, such as batoning and chopping.

The knives feature a sharp flat Scandi grind (14%) and have a satin finish (as sharp as a razor).
This steel combined with gravel makes these knives very strong, yet very easy to sharpen and it gives a great cut.

The handle is made of green Linen Micarta.

The knife comes with a sturdy sheath made of black 3mm thick vegetable tanned full grain leather. Extra wide belt loop, a liquid drainage hole and a lanyard hole.

This variant includes matching firesteel in the sheath.

About the steel: O2 High-grade carbon tool steel. Böhler K720 tool steel is a very tough and strong oil-hardened tool steel with high carbon content. The chemical composition allows it to be hardened to a high degree while maintaining ductility and yet be very tough making it both easy to grind and still have a razor sharp cut.
Although easy to sharpen, its low chromium content means it is more likely to corrode if left wet and should therefore always be dried thoroughly after use and protected by oil or wax before storing.

Warranty on material and workmanship defects 25 years
