Casstrom Woodsman Knife Curly Birch with firesteel

The Casstrom Woodsman Knife is a bushcraft knife for people who do a lot of woodworking. Indeed, the scandi cut (14%) is ideal for this purpose. The knife was designed by Roger Harrington, a bushcraft trainer who started giving training courses in this field back in 1996. Like all Casstrom knives, this one fits the hand wonderfully.

The blade of the Woodsman is made of Böhler K720 steel. This is a tool steel that is similar to O2 steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. However, it is important to oil well after use: K720 is not stainless. This variant is equipped with a scandi-grain. This makes the blade slightly thicker and the cut somewhat better for woodworking.

The handle is made of beautiful Curly Birch. This is birch root wood. Casström has stabilized this wood to make it as durable as possible. A black liner has been placed between the wood and the handle.

The Casström Woodsman Knife comes with a solid leather sheath. This has a belt loop for a belt up to (approximately) 6.5 cm wide. On the side of the sheath you will find a firesteel. This has a handy elastic attached so that you can secure it.
