Step aboard and enjoy the ultimate summer experience from the beautiful waters of Färnebofjärdens National Park. Join us on this exclusive adventure. During the enchanting week around Midsummer, you will take part in a canoe expedition that will take you deep into the breathtaking wilderness of Färnebofjärden. Experience the harmony of working with nature as you paddle across serene lakes, discover the rich diversity of flora and fauna, and wake up each morning in a new, picturesque location. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of Swedish nature, experience Midsummer like never before, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
What's on the programme?
✔️ Master safe canoeing
✔️ Visit beaver lodges and search for beavers from the canoe!
✔️ Learn the difference between simply “looking” and truly “seeing” in nature.
✔️ Acquire basic skills for safe fire-making.
✔️ Explore the National Park as much as possible from the canoe!
✔️ Sleep in a different beautiful location almost every night.
✔️ Look for animal tracks both from the canoe and on land.
✔️ Overlook the entire National Park from a watchtower.
✔️ Look for hunting ospreys.
✔️ Visit an island where we learn about Huginn & Muninn, Odin's ravens.
We conclude all this by celebrating Midsommar, an enchanting highlight of this unforgettable journey full of natural discoveries and experiences
What can you expect?
Our journey begins at Färnebofjärdens Camping, located in the picturesque east of Sweden. In the midst of the enchanting Färnebofjärdens National Park, formed by the Nedre Dalälven river, a varied landscape of reed beds, forests, marshes and more than 200 islands unfolds! This varied terrain is home to a diversity of animals, including sea and osprey eagles, woodpeckers, martens, lynxes and even majestic moose. And where water and forest meet, beavers thrive as true architects of nature.
When are we going?
- On Saturday 13 June 2026, our adventure begins at Färnebofjärdens Camping.
- The next morning, on 14 June, we will get into the canoes early in the morning and spend a whole week exploring the breathtaking National Park.
- On Friday 19 June, we will conclude with Midsommar, the iconic Swedish holiday. A celebration not to be missed!
- On Saturday 20 June, we will say goodbye and depart from Färnebofjärdens Camping with unforgettable memories.

- Camping equipment (Don't have your own tent, sleeping mat or sleeping bag? No problem, you can hire these from us)

Additional information
- It is important that you are physically fit. We will often be walking in nature on narrow paths, unpaved terrain and here and there the terrain goes up and down.
- Alcohol and drugs are not allowed during the trip. On the last evening, we will provide a drink with dinner.

- Accessibility: We will be travelling by canoe for most of the trip. However, there are also two walks on the programme where we may stray from the paths. In addition, we will climb a watchtower.
